And we howled at the morning driving rain

But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas

But it's all right.

Sheesh. It took me 51 freaking years to find out that it's "howled at the MORNING DRIVING rain", not "at MY MA IN the driving rain".

Marble mouth Jagger strikes again.

Singing Stones songs were fun. Deciphering their lyrics, not so much. Watch the scene in the movie of the same name, where Whoopi Goldberg is trying to determine the lyrics of the song. That was me every time a band I was in decided to learn a new Stones song. Those were the days before the internet and lyrics sites were around to help.

Also, using the hammer and chisel to carve those lyrics onto a rock took FOREVER...

You just got that song confused with You Never Even Called Me by My Name (additional lyrics).
I was drunk the day Mama got out of prison
And I went to pick 'er up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got runned over by a damned ol' train
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Um no, it is "And I howled at my ma in the driving rain."
