RIP Carol Lynley

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Fri Sep 06, 2019 7:33 am

Familiar face to TV and movie fans in the 60s and 70s, best known for playing the singer in The Poseidon Adventure (although her singing voice for the Oscar winning song Morning After was dubbed in). Age 77. The clip is from another one of her films, Bunny Lake Is Missing:

She was always one of my faves whenever she was on TV. RIP indeed.

I looked her up on IMDB to see what her other credits were. Along with appearances on many big 70s to mid-80s shows, she had 11 appearances on Fantasy Island, playing 11 different characters.

RIP, ma'am!

Ironically, Turner Classic Movies already had a Carol Lynley Night planned for September 8.

Bunny Lake Is Missing followed by Blue Denim.

The scene that sss posted is truly creepy - as is much of Bunny Lake Is Missing.

Carol Lynley couldn't compete with Rafa. What a match!

I'm glad Melly flagged me that Bunny Lake is creepy. Otherwise, I would have watched it, first chance I got. The synopsis reminded me of Jodie Foster's Flight Plan, of which I have seen only the first half hour. It's probably creepy too.
