First place
By holding onto a 6-4 victory over the Miami Marlins, my beloved New York Mets took undisputed possession of first place in the National League Eastern Division. I've learned over the last few years to enjoy these moments while they last. --Bob

Well, that didn't last very long. I hope this isn't the only time all season I get to use this thread. --Bob

Re: First place
Being a lifelong Mets fan has taught me that you've really gotta enjoy these times while they're happening because it can be a long, long time before they can happen again. The Mets' victory over Washington, combined with Minnesota's win today, have the Mets back in undisputed possession of first place. May this stay endure longer than the last one. --Bob

Re: First place
It took some bonus baseball to settle tonight's tilt, but the Mets have again reclaimed undisputed possession of first place in the National League East. At least until tomorrow. --Bob

And just like that, after a truly ugly outing, the Mets have again surrendered their brief grip on first place. —Bob

Makes sense. Use a season about nothing to celebrate a show about nothing. --BobVandal wrote:Metes host Seinfeld Night:
