My hashtagmetoo creds will be trashed, but...
Been watching FX series Better Things, developed by Pamela Adlon and Louis CK. Starring her.
It's totally fucking awesome. Not sure guys would love it, lotta cringeworthy womaney stuff. It's just funny.

Re: Better Things
This guy has been watching from the show's debut through last night's episode with Phyl and Sam playing along with J! After the episode I had to research the game (turns out to be games) the clues were in and I added notes in the Archive.
Pamela Adlon is wonderful as the lead and her character Sam has to go through a lot with the daughters, work, and other family members (most of all mom next door). The episodes can be a little uneven and strange at times while making me wonder if some things could really happen as they occur such as Sam and her doctor cursing at will back and forth with each other.
The S2 finale centered around Max's graduation was a terrific episode.
The recent episode with Duke being allowed to have at it verbally towards Frankie featured a hilarious & shocking swear-fest.
Another fun thing about the show is to visit previously.tv and check out the viewer comments for each episode.
It's a good show and between watching THE VIEW and having worked with many women who told family stories across the gamut of rated G to R, a lot of the show does not faze me while having an air of familiarity to it.

The swearfest cracked.me.up. Loved it. Unfortunately earlier eps are buy on demand so...MarkBarrett wrote:This guy has been watching from the show's debut through last night's episode with Phyl and Sam playing along with J! I keep thinking this should have something to do with the Netflix series Stranger Things. --Bob

Re: Better Things
I've seen her on a few late night talk shows and thought she was pretty funny. At some point, iTunes had temporarily marked down Season 1 to $8.99, so I bought it. This thread may now motivate me to watch it, too!Beebs52 wrote:Unfortunately earlier eps are buy on demand so...
