The singer of "I Go Crazy" and "'65 Love Affair" was 60. Heart Attack.

He also was Peter on the original recording of Jesus Christ Superstar and I think also played him in the movie.

The Paul Davis who died yesterday is not, repeat, not the Paul Davis who sang the role of Peter on the JC Superstar soundtrack.

And he's definitely not Peter in the movie, since that, in one of the greatest humorous ironies of all time, is future porn star Paul Thomas, acting under the name of Philip Toubus.

It's a common and understandable confusion, given the identical names, but they are not the same person, and not related.

So you could say the director's were borrowing his peter, to pay Paul?
