One title is missing a parenthetical. Otherwise, everything on here that needs to be right is right.

I can say with confidence that the Tangredi is not only gettable, but almost gotten. One or two titles might be especially worth contemplating.

It might be a coincidence that I can make Pop Goes the World from three of these titles (POP Muzik, the Beat GOES on, Change THE WORLD).

It might even be a coincidence that I can make California Dreaming out of CALIFORNIA Love and I Like DREAMIN'

I don't see how it could be a coincidence that I can get those two, AND Don't Mess With Bill (DON'T MESS WITH my man, The Continuing Story of Bungalow BILL).

There's also I Melt With You in here.

Unfortunately, I don't see Men Without Hats, the Mamas and the Papas, The Marvelettes, or Modern English anywhere in here. So I don't have the full Tangredi yet.

But I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track.

I had noticed early on that Daydream Believer was just sitting there, but that would have been a weird match since one of the matching songs was a Monkees song. Frank seems to be stressing the titles, so I'm wondering if the artists of the songs are irrelevant in this game. Of course, there still has to be some kind of a theme since it wouldn't just be random song titles...

Shit. I didn't see it until I just read lb's message, and thought about Daydream Believer.

By the Monkees.
And Men Without Hats
And Mamas and the Papas
And Marvelettes
And Modern English

And Who did Pop Muzik? Just as lb pointed out in like, the 4th message in this thread?

M.

Tangredi: Word(s) from the beginning, middle, and/or end of the titles of the clues make the titles of famous songs by groups which begin with the letter M.

3. CALIFORNIA love + 53. I Like DREAMIN' = California Dreamin', by The Mamas and the Papas
52. DON'T MESS WITH my man + 1. The Continuing Story of Bungalow BILL = Don't mess with Bill, by the Marvelettes
50. I MELT + 34. This guy's in love WITH YOU = I Melt With You, by Modern English

I just realized that I made an error: there's a missing "the" in one title. That's what happens when you change a song at the last minute.

Consolidation time, so I can easily see what's left!

Game #188: Pop Muzik

Identify the 70 songs below. Then, match them into 20 pairs and 10 threesomes according to a Tangredi, or principle you must discover for yourself. No song will be used twice.

Tangredi: Song Titles from bands that start with the letter M

Matches (21/30):

35. POP Muzik + 49. The Beat GOES on + 15. Change THE WORLD = Pop Goes the World, by Men Without Hats
43. DAYDREAM + 22. I'm A BELIEVER = Daydream Believer, by The Monkees
