My retirement Happy Hour

#1 Post by mellytu74 » Wed Mar 27, 2019 8:05 pm

I retire Friday.

Tonight was my Happy Hour going away party.

It was just a really nice time.

On Monday, when I would be driving on the PA Turnpike to Valley Forge, I will be sitting in a beach chair, looking at the Atlantic Ocean.

We have staycations planned. In the fall, we'll take some real trips. Then, in 2020, to Europe and 2021, California.

Just a warning. Your body will still respond to the "get up time" for a few days.....

Congratulations!

Please try to get several days in Amsterdam. I thought it was amazing, and I am not really that impressed by things.

Geez, I dunno. I was born and raised in Amsterdam. and I didn't think it was THAT exciting.

After much discussion, we have decided:

2020 for domestic travel
2021 for international travel

Since we are planning a lengthy trip to Europe - as many as three months, depending on how much time we will end up spending on some ancestry research - we did not want to miss voting in our primary or general elections in 2020.
