RIP Larry Cohen

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Mon Mar 25, 2019 4:16 am

Writer/director of some of the greatest B- and cult movies of all time, including It's Alive, God Told Me To, The Stuff, Q, Maniac Cop, Original Gangstas, Phone Booth, and most of the episodes of The Invaders TV show. Cohen's films were quite self-aware, poking fun at the genre while exploiting it to the hilt.

Age 77.

This gave me a turn. There's a brilliant bridge teacher, player, and writer named Larry Cohen who is younger than I am.

Please note: People younger than I am should not die until I reach, oh, 75 or so.

-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
