Character actor who played in many films, plays, and TV shows over a 40-year-career, usually as authority figures, including the weaselly President in Clear and Present Danger and LBJ in The Right Stuff. Age 87.

Very familiar. Also played CJ's dad on "The West Wing" and Ford Frick in "*61."
