Why are Lhasa Apsos not in the shepherd class

Dog shows put them in the non-sporting group.

They are shepherd & guard dogs! As anyone who's been shepherded & guarded by one can tell you.

Show Apsos don't look like real Apsos. Facto liked to see where he was going. We would never let his hair get that long & comb it over his eyes.
