I haven't even lurked in ages

#1 Post by TomC4253 » Sat Apr 19, 2008 3:36 pm

Hello all, I don't know if any of you remember me. I used to be on the Yahoo bored frequently. It seems that one is less than idle these days. I went to the site and someone mentioned this place, I see some familiar names, like Gordon and Judy-of-the-Silver Camaro. How is everybody?
I got an email from J! last evening, with the topic of auditions in NYC in May. I opened it thinking this was a new round of tests, and that I wouldn't be eligible because I had taken the online test a few months ago. Surprise! Apparently I passed the online (I figured they would have notified people ages ago) and now I'm invited to go on to phase two on Sunday May 25.
I was wondering if anyone else on the bored would be going at the same time?

Tom

Congratulations, Tom! I don't recall anyone else hear mentioning that J! auditon date, but I'm sure you'll hear from someone if they are invited as well.

Good luck! Good to see you here. Kay

Break a leg!

I guess that's bad news for me. I'm sure I passed the online test but didn't get an email.

I can't tell you how many times I've taken the test for J!, but the first time was when I was 21 (I'm now a well-preserved 53) and Art Fleming was the host. I didn't pass then, but I did once in California about 10 years ago. Went on to the second round but never got into the pool.
The funny thing is I HATE the online version of the test, I guess I don't like it when I know the question will disappear from the screen or something, I don't know.

Welcome back, Tom!

I had NYC as my first choice for an audition, but there's no e-mail invitation for me. But then, I didn't expect there to be one, since I pretty much choked on this year's online test.

Congrats on getting your invitation and good luck at the audition!
