The only way the Republicans took this seriously was when the information became public. And based on yesterday's hearing in which Dr. Ford came off like just who she said she was while Kavanaugh came off as a bad Donald Trump impersonator, I can understand why the Republicans wouldn't want their charade to be public.

And by the way, I haven't heard one word from Dr. Ford criticizing what the Democrats have done in this case. Only from "outraged" supporters of Kavanaugh.

I did point out the irony I saw, but in the echo chamber reality, there is no irony. aSShole has declared several times before that he has the unique ability to know the content and motivations of everyones mind. That, in addition to him being one of the Moral Arbiters of the universe, gives him exemption from irony. (I must be parroting either hanitty or bitebart for that observation).

I would hope that the main point of the me.too thing is to encourage women who are being abused to report it, and try and support it with as much evidence as they can. That is the best way of prosecuting and punishing men who abuse women.

But I don't think that is the goal of the me,too movement. Unfortunately, like a lot of the 'movements' these days, it is a manufactured tool of the left, and is being carried out too far.

The genesis of #MeToo was a noble call for a world free from sexual harassment and violence. To treat women worse than men in the workplace or the court of law is fundamentally corrosive to America's ideals of justice and fundamental human dignity. And because of the movement, powerful men who'd preyed upon vulnerable women for decades were toppled overnight, and corporate giants were brought down as their vile behavior came to light.

Yet as a conservative woman, I am concerned that, in the case of Brett Kavanaugh, the noble justice of #MeToo has been politically hijacked and weaponized, co-opted by Democrats seeking to extrapolate this just cause for liberal policies that go beyond equal and fair treatment for women. They are attempting to tip the scales of justice away from evidence and data toward emotion and speculation -- assuming guilt first -- and without credible evidence to support their conclusion.

Flock, you can't even have an original thought. You just take someone else's opinion and express it more sarcastically and less artfully.

Well, I can tell you as someone who has spent a good bit of time writing and editing that highly intelligent people can and do make a lot of grammatical mistakes, even in books that they work on for months. That's why we have editors who are specialists in grammar and style.

14 errors in 5 paragraphs? That seems like a lot. Did you even read the analysis? These are not simply typos and dangling participles.

I'd like to see other samples of her writing.

I've received sloppier e-mails from lawyers. Calling the letter a fake on that basis is complete bullshit, particularly in light of her testimony, which sure didn't sound faked to me.
