RIP Danny Federici

Keyboard pleysr for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He was 58 when he passed away yesterday from melanoma. While not one of the best-known members of Bruce's classic band, I always liked the guy...probably because I played keyboards too.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

He left the tour after we saw the E-Street Band last November. I read that he had joined Bruce onstage for part of a show last month, so he probably played a few gigs a few months after the show we saw, but we may have seen his last full night's performance. He certainly played his part in Bruce's sound.
