I just had a Fear Factor moment

#1 Post by moonie » Tue Apr 15, 2008 12:30 pm

Attempting to siphon water off my pool cover, I sucked the air out of a piece of garden hose to get the water moving toward that end (science!). Ive done this for years.

Today, I got the water flowing OUT, but not before I swallowed at least one LIVE ant. There must have been a nest of them IN the hose, cuz about a hundred others came out with the water.

Needless to say, I am feeling quite nauseous right about now. I tried to swallow peanut butter (hoping the damn thing would stick to it and go down into my esophagus). STill, after trying to up-chuck, and then shoot water DOWN my throat, I sit here with this catch in my throat every time I swallow.

I now have to go to work and try to forget about it.

ACK!

(any suggestions here would be welcome!)

Were there any Madagascar hissing cockroaches around?

I'd suggest swallowing a spider, but then you'd have to swallow a bird, and then things would just get out of control until you are swallowing a horse.

Then, you'd be dead . . . of course.

Swallow a big bite of bread.

Or, do you have an anteater who is an over-enthusiastic kisser?

It's dead by now.

It also counts as protein.

Bet you won't do that again.

Swallowing an ant probably isn't so bad....Lord knows how many we ate when we were kids! It's all in your head right now, but you'll be fine in the morning.

I suggest not using that particular technique anymore. :)
