Anyone Like Trivia?
There's a new (at least for me) app that my son introduced me to.
You can win money. It doesn't cost anything. It doesn't take much time.
The app is called, HQ (you can find it at your local app store).
During the week, twice a day - 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm - the app is activated and you are asked to answer up to 12 questions, given live stream by an emcee. Get the answer right you can continue to the next question. Each question is multiple choice with three possible answers. The game is done once a day on the weekend, at 9:00 pm. The normal "jackpot" is $1,000. On Sunday night it is much bigger. Those people who have correctly answered the 12 questions split the jackpot. The entire game takes about 15 minutes and that includes the introduction (and explanation).

Hopefully soon, they'll improve their servers to handle the several hundred thousand users who log in to play. As it is now, the app lags hellaciously, and even freezes up resulting in your elimination. With Android users soon to join, a game could feasibly have a million players.

I won, I won! $1.85 my biggest trivia win since winning a subscription to US magazine playing the WWTBAM live game (ATV IIRC) way back in the day.
