I'm a sister again!
This was one of the two pups my mom had hoped to meet on Wednesday. The people who adopted her first brought her back yesterday. They said, "We didn't know a puppy would be so much trouble." (My mom said, "I hope they never have children.")
When her photo showed up again on the animal shelter's web site, my mom got up early and drove over in the rain.
I like her a lot. She does have a lot to learn, but I will teach her, and I will sign her up for home school when she's old enough to read. She is already good at playing with my toys! I'm willing to share, but I'm thinking she may need some stuff of her own so she can stop stealing mine. She just took my best yellow stuffed duck.
She is black and white, almost as cute as me. I think she is half border collie and half alligator. I will post her picture as soon as I can figure it out again.

Please bring her out in the backyard so I can formally introduce myself!
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

They seem to have cleverly disguised that pooch's url. I had to upload it to my blog to get a workable link...

She's a lucky pup to get adopted into your family. Instant bestest big sister and all.

She looks guilty in that photo. What did she do?

And just like that, I fell in love. You are a lucky girl, and so is your new sister. I know you'll be a fabulous big sister. Has she told you her name yet?silvercamaro wrote:https://drpem3xzef3kf.cloudfront.net/ph ... scale_up=1

One of your first jobs, of course, will be to teach her how to use the Bored. We'd like to meet her too. --BobLizbit wrote:This was one of the two pups my mom had hoped to meet on Wednesday. Re: I'm a sister again!
Miss T, we asked her what her name was. She said she'd never had a real name, just a card on her shelter cage that started "A03..." and a bunch of other numbers. She didn't want that to be her name. My mom and I made a bunch of suggestions -- royal names like Victoria or Alexandra, jokey names like Sasquatch or Poopyhead (my suggestion), game names like Domino or Shortstop, science and math names such as Tesla or Galois, and computerish words, including Techno, I-Paw-Mini, and Wiki.tlynn78 wrote:And just like that, I fell in love. "Wiki," she said. "That's my name. I can rhyme a lot of other words with Wiki, in case I ever want to be a poet or something."
I don't even know how she knows about poets, but there you go. Her name is Wiki.
Tonight, instead of telling her a bedtime story, I will read some poems to her from A.A. Milne's Now We Are Six.

A very good choice, Lizbit..you are already showing what a wonderful big sister you will be! And I loved your joke..."Wiki leaks"...
This was me after reading that....
