The answer to each of these clues is also the nickname of a major league baseball team. One point for each, and there is a Two-Point Conversion.
1. Some of them rob ships and some of them make illegal copies of movies.
2. They will select the next Pope.
3. Cyanocitta cristata
4. This song hit number one in 2013.
5. In geometry, lines which have an endpoint at one end and go infinitely in the other direction.
6. 1988 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.
7. 1981 Warren Beatty movie.
8. Brand of cigar whose name appears in the painting Nighthawks.

Of the six I know for sure, only three have played in a WS this century. The Rays played the Phillies, which doesn't seem to be a plausible answer to any of the unknowns. The Royals played the Giants and Mets (Mets seems illogical). And the Cardinals played the Tigers, Rangers and Red Sox (Sox can't be right). So I kinda got a 1 in 2 chance of getting the right matchup unless BOTH 2 and 8 happen to be the WS matchup, in which case I'm screwed. I'll say Royals-Giants
