I actually did meet Andrew Breitbart in person several years ago. He did a talk at the firehouse in the small Arkansas town I lived in at the time. He basically gave an autobiographical talk about how he came to distrust the media and started doing what he did. I spoke to him briefly after the talk. He did not seem hateful at all. Just an anecdote.

And the reporter on Thursday didn't even say anything about Trump personally or Trump's tone, nor link the rise in anti-Semitism to Trump in any way...just asked what, if anything, did Trump have planned to help address it...a question any President would get.

That earned him the derisive "sit down!" comment.

I personally feel he would cry if he saw what Bannon did to his website.

I watched his speech live. It was a good speech IMO. Then turned to CNN. The host asked opinions of several people. Each of her questions were prefaced with things like ' How do you see this speech in relation to Trump's refusal to meet with the CBC?".

Almost as powerful as his condemnation of those responsible for the Bowling Green Massacre.

It would have been a nice speech, if he didn't have to be shamed into it after days of missed opportunities.

The Anne Frank Center is less than satisfied.

The President’s sudden acknowledgement is a Band-Aid on the cancer of Antisemitism that has infected his own Administration. His statement today is a pathetic asterisk of condescension after weeks in which he and his staff have committed grotesque acts and omissions reflecting Antisemitism, yet day after day have refused to apologize and correct the record. Make no mistake: The Antisemitism coming out of this Administration is the worst we have ever seen from any Administration. The White House repeatedly refused to mention Jews in its Holocaust remembrance, and had the audacity to take offense when the world pointed out the ramifications of Holocaust denial. And it was only yesterday, President’s Day, that Jewish Community Centers across the nation received bomb threats, and the President said absolutely nothing. When President Trump responds to Antisemitism proactively and in real time, and without pleas and pressure, that’s when we’ll be able to say this President has turned a corner. This is not that moment.
