from outside looking in, I don't know..
Which agency(ies) is(are) responsible for letting the Secret Service know that there is a credible threat to the Potus?
are these the same agency (ies) that the Peotus is dismissing?
Is that really a wise course of action?

Trump is confident that the risk of being trashed on Twitter will protect him from all but the most evil villains, and for those few, he will mock publicly in a press conference.a1mamacat wrote:from outside looking in, I don't know..

Don't Mess With Trump!
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Putting a bunch of syncophants and yes men In charge of providing the intelligence that determines life-or-death foreign policy decisions that could effect the entire world (see, e.g., weapons of mass destruction in Iraq). What could possibly go wrong?a1mamacat wrote:Is that really a wise course of action?

I imagine the Secret Service has its own intelligence-gathering operations to detect potential threats to the President.a1mamacat wrote:from outside looking in, I don't know..

Re: Serious question about the Intelligence Agencies
The Secret Service, originally in the Treasury Department, is now part of the Department of Homeland Security. DHS has offices called Intelligence Fusion Centers and Regional Information Sharing Systems to facilitate sharing intelligence among agencies at all levels of government (Canada too). The lack of information sharing was one of the flaws that preceded the terror attack that led to the creation of DHS.a1mamacat wrote:from outside looking in, I don't know..

At their confirmation hearings, Trump's national security team disagreed with his campaign rhetoric on issues such as Iran, torture, Russia and Jerusalem. Trumps tweets that he encourages their independence. We'll find out if that's real or just a show for the Senate.silverscreenselect wrote:Putting a bunch of syncophants and yes men In charge of providing the intelligence that determines life-or-death foreign policy decisions that could effect the entire world (see, e.g., weapons of mass destruction in Iraq).
