Diamond thong shown to the throng

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Fri Apr 04, 2008 7:53 am

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A diamond thong worth S$168,000 ($122,000) was the highlight of a lingerie fashion show in Singapore on Thursday.

The Triumph Luxurious Diamond Thong had 518 brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling 30 carats, studded into the front of a black lace thong in a floral pattern. The skimpy underwear that left little to the imagination also had 27 white gold tassels hanging off it.

None of the people in the photo look particularly comfortable. For a model, she has lousy posture.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Underwear that needs to be dry-cleaned is so very practical.

If you can afford underwear that costs $122,000 a pair, practicality is not something you worry about.

I'm still wondering about the 27 gold tassels. Wouldn't those 27 metallic lumps make it impossible to wear anything over the thong, thus removing it from the underwear category?

Now, if the designer wants to call this a diamond-studded stripper costume, I'm okay with that, although I'm not sure anybody should ever trust a stripper with the diamonds.

I heard somebody talking about an exchange that they heard during the show:

1st guy: This thing's a thong?

2nd guy: Well, I doubt that it does that, but I bet it could get you a hummer at a few bars.

I know, I know. It's a stretch.

I think if anyone had a bunch of diamonds shoved up their um....places where thongs like to live that they'd have poor posture too.

There's a sucker born every minute. And, judging from some of the stuff I have sold (and seen sold) on Ebay I can conclude that there is a buyer for almost anything.

The story states that the diamonds are on the front.

And it's not for sale:

Maybe you'll get a diamond encrusted, gold tassled stopwatch.

I've got some extra Red Bull I can pour on Google. My son asked for some because he has to be at school at 6 am this Thursday, and then he asked if he could try one. Then he must have had another the next day without asking, so I hid the other two and told him no more. That stuff is NASTY!

I don't want to kill the poor hamsters, just get them running again!

We were talking about energy drinks at work the other day, and I brought up Mr. Green, a Pepsi product that was apparently test-marketed here back in 2001, and quickly faded into oblivion. It was actually a green colored soda that was supposed to be a stronger version of Dr. Pepper. Our maintenace crew got hooked on it, and boy did it hype them up....

I am also a lover of green. And Dr. Pepper. And caffeine.

But, Good Lord--not all at once!
What?
