Retired

#1 Post by kusch » Sat Dec 31, 2016 4:42 pm

Yup, I have retired as of the end of today. I spent the last 33 years of my career with First Western Bank & Trust, a locally owned independent community bank. It really does not feel like a long time believe it or not. I am nervous but also excited about what will happen next. First up will be our oldest daughter's wedding 1/21. Shortly after that we will do a road trip and spend a month or so in the Phoenix area. Most of you know I do have a couple of hobbies--golf and bridge and I plan on doing a little more of both. I see us trying various other areas in the country for a month or so until we find someplace to maybe spend the majority of the winter. I will also work on getting ready to downsize to a smaller home sometime in the future--2-5 years from now.

I certainly have not posted very much lately but I check in on a regular basis. It is still enjoyable to read about all the bored buddies over the last 17 years. It has been 17 or so right? My wish is for more people like me to come out of the lurking mode and continue to let us know what is happening in their lives.

Happy New Year to everyone. Have a great 2017!!!

Congrats on the retirement and the upcoming wedding. Just married off my oldest two days ago.

Congratulations! Come on down and warm up in Phoenix.
