doormats

#1 Post by ghostjmf » Mon Dec 19, 2016 1:02 pm

No it is not a post about the electoral college, who will only be doing their (hold my nose, & stomach, & intestinal orifice) job, its about...doormats.

Since this *is* a public forum, which they could be reading, suffice to say that adult child of landperson, who is taking over many landperson things from aging parent real landperson, gave us the surprise gift of new doormats yesterday. There was nothing wrong w/ old doormats. If $$ was to be spent, I'd rather it be on lights in the basement, light in the driveway that hasn't worked since summer, the stormwindow someone scarfed from the hall window on my landing, you get it.

My new doormat is personalized in a way that is not my style. Involves a little animal who *is* my style, I guess, because I continue to feed him, but if I had to have a personalized doormat in this wookie's honor I'd rather it'd be wookie or a snarling beast of prey.

I thanked landpeople, because they *are* landpeople.

I can't turn mat upside down, because they have keys to the bldg

OTOH -

If by chance you happen to step in a pile of dog poo, you will then wipe your feet on the doormat. This one simple act could express your sentiments while also showing the landpersons just how useful the doormats are. Everyone is happy.

Landlord? Why are you are assuming it is not a Landlady? Or Landduchess? Bigot!
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Gee, & I was *trying* to be funny. Would you all prefer "property owners"? "(Evil) capitalists"?
