RIP Great Aunt Ruthie

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Sun Dec 18, 2016 11:26 pm

My Great Aunt Ruthie passed away last night at age 106. I last saw her this summer and various physical ailments had clearly taken a toll on her mental acuity. She still remembered me, but didn't really know who my son was and she definitely couldn't remember that I was married, much less to whom. She had a great run on this planet, and I'll miss her. --Bob

106 IS a great run.

Please accept my condolences for your family's loss.

Thank you all for your thoughts. The funeral was yesterday in Brooklyn so I wasn't able to get back, at least physically. (I had a root canal on Monday to treat an infection that appeared over the weekend.)

t feels a little weird knowing that my mother's generation is now the oldest surviving generation in my family. I guess that means my generation will be next. --Bob
