The Boney 500: Album #5

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Mon Dec 19, 2016 11:03 am

And here we go! The last week of the countdown of my all-time favorite albums..by the end of the week, you'll know my favorite album ever!

5. MOONDANCE-VAN MORRISON (1970)

His previous album, "Astral Weeks", often gets the most critical praise, but to be honest, I have never been able to get into it, and
being a Van fan, I have tried and tried...I just don't get it. This one, though...oh, how I love this one. Merging R & B, Jazz, and Folk
elements, the end result is uniquely Morrison. Side One alone is enough to land this in my Top Ten. Hell, "Into The Mystic" alone is
enough to land this in my Top Ten! A rich, rewarding listen.

I love this guy even though about half the time I don't know what he is saying.

That comment was on Morrison, not T-Bone.

That's funny that you felt like it needed clarification.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

"Moondance" would be enough for me. It's a marvelous night . . .
