The Boney 500: Song #10

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Mon Dec 19, 2016 11:15 am

As we move into the Top 10 on the Boney 500 song list, we cut back to one song reveal per day, meaning my all-time favorite song will be revealed on Friday, December 30th.

10. I BELIEVE (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever)-STEVIE WONDER (1972)
Album: Talking Book

Swirling, hypnotic instrumentation (break out those headphones!) provide a bed for one of Stevie's prettiest melodies. For the majority of
this song the mood is mellow, with Stevie adding voice after voice in numerous counterpoints. Then suddenly it changes gears and becomes a
funk fest. Wonder is equally adept as balladeer and funkmeister. He plays all the instruments and performs all the vocals. I love so many
of his songs, but this tops them all.

He is amazing. Very Top Ten worthy.
