The Boney 500: Album #29

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Tue Nov 15, 2016 10:08 am

29. IN COLOR-CHEAP TRICK (1977)

Rocks like all get out, but with an unerring melodic sensibilty: the perfect Power Pop album. This has the studio version of "I
Want You To Want Me", but that's not even close to being the best song on the album. And in fact, that one song has been deleted from
all You Tube copies of the album..so I've posted an audio only link for the record. Anyway, this album is a beloved part of
my college and band years soundtrack.

I have always preferred the studio version of "I Want You To Want Me" to the hit live version. It's too bad I rarely get to hear it on the radio...

Ditto on Elton John's "Candle in the Wind" as well...
