The Cornell Crying Circle

The most privileged 20 year-olds in the history of the planet (Bar None) are reduced to forming a crying circle when reality intrudes on their existence.

There is some commentary floating around that one of the reasons Trump won is a response to the "Political Correctness on Steroids" that has been going on. I tend to agree with that.

The college "Safe Space" movement is looked on with disdain and disbelief out in the real world.

I hope that they remember to put their membership in the "crying circle" on their resume when they finally attempt to get a job.
I felt the change

Now we know that a theatre is the real "Safe Space."

Not since 1865
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Too soon.
