They're trying to sell it for commercial development as that's a far more valuable use for the property.

In these parts, we have Great Adventure. No one calls it Six Flags, although it is.

I lived in Colorado in 1994 and 1995, and I still miss it. I wound up going back twice last year, once with the whole family during our summer vacation and another time with my older son. We went to game 3 of the World Series.

I've followed the Rockies baseball team since I went to their first game in 1993 (against the Mets in New York), and I managed to go to that first Coors Field game in 1995. Rockies games were always packed when I lived there, so it was a surprise to go back to games there in 2002 and 2006 and see the sparse crowds. It was neat to see the place sold out again in the World Series...

You actually know that South Park is a real place not just a show on TV.

And where it is.
And you know it's boring.

When the weather report says it's going to be 65 degrees, you shave your
legs and wear a skirt.
Temperature is necessary but not sufficient, I need to drink many beers and avoid a ditch before I add a skirt - prolly add a few shots of something before I shave my legs.

Your sense of direction is: Toward the mountains and Away from the
mountains.
Hawaiians have a variation on this -

Makai - Toward the Ocean

Mauka - Toward the Mountain

You refer to "the interstate" and everybody knows which one.
Not if you're near the "Mousetrap"

You went to Casa Bonita as a kid, and as an adult.
I hated that place - my kids and their friends loved it. My wife would take the kids when I was out of town on business.

You always know the elevation of where you are.
Like the fact that when I stood in my basement my lungs were about 6,000 feet above sea level (I know that's flatland to you Podunkvillers. )

You and SC are too kind. Thanks for staying to chat, even if I was a lowlife and ducked out.

It might have been realistic to you and it was never to me.

I have done the rankings long enough to know that no lead is safe. Not even Sprots'....

I should try to figure out when PSM might be on track to pass her up.....

You KNOW that NO lead is safe.

Cutler's coming along. He's no Elway yet, but we'll give him time.

So that's how you got to be a Rockies fan.

WTG! We need more of 'em.

I've only seen 2 games in Denver before, but both were classic Blake Street Bombers comebacks. And both times, Walt Weiss "drove in" the winning run with a bases loaded walk....

I'm gonna go look it up in a minute, but just for now, I'll take a wild guess that the comic strip Girls and Sports is set in Colorado.

Yep, both artists were born in Denver, and one character wears an orange jersey with 7 on it.

It will take years, not that I want to pass her.
