RIP Edward Albee

Friday was a bad day for great writers. The author of Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff? and winner of three Tony Awards and three Pulitzer Prizes passed away.

Albee had been the last living author of one of what I (and others) consider the five Great American Plays. I got to meet him once, and listen to him speak. A fascinating man, and surprisingly gracious. But he also took no crap from anyone.

"That's what happens in plays, yes? The s**t hits the fan."

Best Edward Albee quote ever. It was so good that I referenced it in one of my Tangredi games.
"[Drumpf's] name alone creates division and anger, whose words inspire dissension and hatred, and can't possibly 'Make America Great Again.'" --Kobe Bryant (1978-2020)

"In times of crisis, the wise build bridges. The foolish build barriers." --Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020)
