RIP Marvin Kaplan

#1 Post by Pastor Fireball » Fri Aug 26, 2016 7:14 am

I'm surprised that this didn't get mentioned yet, but the gas station attendant from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World passed away yesterday at age 89.

Kaplan was also known as the voice of Choo-Choo on Top Cat (alongside his IAMMMMW cast mate Arnold Stang) and for his recurring role as Henry on Alice.

For those who don't remember which one is Choo Choo:

I always remember that he was the only one of the cats who actually had catlike eyes (i.e., long vertical pupils), and that was hit or miss at that.

I think the Alvin creators have gone him one better. Except for the tacked-on tails, they are not recognizable as chipmunks.
