Still working

#1 Post by Lizbit » Thu Aug 18, 2016 12:26 am

I'm still working at my job as Guardian of the Free Rangers. Nothing else has been as exciting as the day of the fire, but I did need to have a stern discussion with a big black snake that thought he could use my yard as a short cut to visiting the girls next door. I was sort of bluffing with mean talk, but I must have been convincing, because he turned around suddenly and slithered in the opposite direction. I don't think he intended to hurt the hens, but I have read on the innernet that snakes like to steal eggs. I don't even know if my friens have laid any eggs yet, and I haven't asked. That seems like kind of a personal question to me. Anyway, if and when they do have eggs, I don't want any stupid snakes or critters to steal them. That includes a certain possum that I have spotted on the fence a couple of times late at night. If it ever becomes necessary, I will use some of my stern snake-talking to him, bad words and all. If that doesn't work, I know a ninja who can turn a possum play nap into a long, deep sleep. (I tried to phrase that delicately.)

Because we live in a college town, I have suggested to the girls that they could form a sorority. The Greek letter name could be Chi Kappa Nu. That would make them ChiKNs.

Good job, Lizbit. Keep up the good work! WE know you're a sweetheart, but those darn snakes and possums don't...they won't dare mess with you.
