Most Popular Baby Names of 2016

Though 2016 isn’t over yet, Nameberry compiled a “Most Popular Baby Names of 2016” list after taking a look at the monikers that have gotten the most attention since January.

Top 5 Names for Baby Boys:
1. Ezra
2. Asher
3. Atticus
4. Declan
5. Oliver

Top 5 Names for Baby Girls:
1. Olivia
2. Amalia
3. Charlotte
4. Ava
5. Isla

This is bogus. It implies that these are the most popular names given to newborns. Newberry says, "Our name rankings are based on the most-visited of the nearly 20 million views of our individual name pages in the first three months of this year." BIG difference.
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

I'm glad you saved me the trouble of debunking this. It seemed extremely bogus to me.

I have a funny feeling that the number 1 boy name will be a WWOQ sometime next season on Millionaire.
