The Bored By The Numbers

#1 Post by tubadave » Thu Jul 07, 2016 11:43 am

With all the tinkering I've been doing the last several days, I've caught myself looking through the member list a time or two, and decided to get a bit better picture of exactly who is here (and who had been here) and what's going on in these parts.

Up to and including this post, made at 12:43PM CDT today:

* This iteration of the Bored was first brought online on Sun Oct 07, 2007 at 6:18PM CDT (even though no one else saw it or knew about it until the next day) and has been online for 8 years, 8 months, 29 days, 18 hours and 25 minutes.

* There have been 511,210 posts made in 51,668 threads.

* The database for the entire Bored is 521.44 MB in size. (That may not sound like much compared to, say, a video file, but it's just a block of text. So that's a fair amount of data.)

------------------------------------------------------------

There are 1541 total registered accounts.

Comprising those 1541 accounts are:
  • * 722 regular members (most frequent poster: littlebeast13 - 28,563 posts)
    * 779 Merry Men (most frequent poster: Evil Squirrel - 1226 posts)
    * 23 Four-Footers (most frequent poster: AnnieCamaro - 1427 posts...the leader by far, even after all this time *sniffle*)
    * 11 Secret Santa accounts from Christmas 2007
    * 6 'Imp' accounts
------------------------------------------------------------

There are more Merry Men than actual people. I wasn't surprised, but it still makes me chuckle a little. :wink:

Mr. tuba, thank you for remembering Annie. She was a really nice girl, and she was the best big sister ever.
