Colorado's answer to crab cakes . . . yeah, right.

I've never had this stuff and intend to eat as much of it as I intend to eat of sushi.

I do have many pictures from my Colorado/western states 1988 tour. Alas, they are all color slides buried in my files somewhere with my color and black and white negatives. I'll have to find them and scan them.
I passed through Colorado in 1972 and had me some crazy times.....

Singletrack style is how all cyclists should ride in Colorado.

1972 was a great time to be alive in Colorado, especially at your age, if you're the age I think you were then.

I think that means me. I can take a hint...

Seriously, I'm yawning and falling asleep. I gave blood today and just bonked.

Goodnight, everybody.

I'm older than I feel......or do I feel older than I look? Eating cockroaches and rattler cakes has done wonders for my disposition. The '72 trip nearly resulted in jail time (not that I haven't spent time is a Gallup, NM jail) for hitchhiking. Then nearly getting involved in a true melee in a downtown Denver bar.
But I'd rather remember languid September afternoons in the Jerome bar and maybe a brisk, crisp walk over to the Charthouse for a steak. Yummmers.

Ok...I'll let lb do his intentionality thing.....

I was just waiting for the sploofus q of the day. I moved up but the confessor has quicker fingers than me and has me beat. But I did manage to get second at my Wednesday night bar trivia. Final q......In the lower 48 states, which state has the state capital which is furthest south?

Speaking of Colorado, this apparently just happened. I hate Ultimate fighting
and would never watch it. Just saw the headline on Yahoo.

My first thought was Tallahassee, but I figured that was too easy. It must
be Baton Rouge or Austin.

Silverton
How did you get to Silverton without going through Ouray or Durango?

. . . OK, or Lake City?

You've got enough for lots more than 400 posts!
My brother took me over the mountain from Ouray to that other place for rich people. Very interesting trip.

I loved Hovenweep the first time I was there. I bet it's all changed now, and has a visitor center and all kinds of stuff.

I bet you got some fabu pics.
We went there about a year and a half ago (on the way to Durango) and it looked great. The visitor center wasn't intrusive.
