The Boney 500: Album #146

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Fri Jun 03, 2016 10:33 am

Last album for the week. Nowhere near as well known as our last couple of entries, but
it's loud and rowdy and full of fun. Hope your weekend is also full of fun. We'll pick up with
album 145 on Monday.

146. READY SEX GO-MARVELOUS 3 (2000)

A scorching combo of glam rock, power pop and raucous but melodic anthems (and, oh yeah,
lots of naughty lyrics), this album rocks.

The only thing familiar about this one is the number, 146. I have heard of that.

Thanks for expanding our musical universe.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

My pleasure, literally. I enjoy talking about and sharing music, and enjoy it when others do the same.

This group was fronted by Butch Walker, who has continued releasing music as a solo artist, but has found greater success as a producer/songwriter. He has worked with artists closer to the style of the music here, such as Weezer and Fall Out Boy, but surprisingly has collaborated with people like Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Kay Perry, Pink, and Jennifer Nettles, formerly of Sugarland.
