Jennifer works for the Phoenix New Times. She wrote a surprisingly candid article about her experience.

3K: Monopoly can have many players on same board. Know nothing about Risk. Never heard of 3-player chess or tic-tac-toe. +1

10K: Know not Murder, only one I watch. ATA

50K: Only sure of Dropout. 50/50, but probably leave here.

You're ignoring "the standard square version with 64 cells," or the 8 x 8 grid.

OK, they're describing a standard chessboard. But I know nothing about the board on which Risk is played.

You don't need to, as long as you know the Monopoly board, that Risk board is a World Map and that Tic-Tac-Toe is played on a 3x3 hash mark.

I repeat: I knew nothing about Risk. Didn't know what game was about. Didn't know what board looked like.

Look, I get that I should have known, with the format back to unscrambled, that they wouldn't be trying to trick you with the 3K Q. But if I panicked on it at home I surely would have panicked on the show, I think. Which is what this play-along is for me. Trying to practise, in case I ever do get back on.

Sorry, I missed the first time you mentioned it. The second time, I was trying to figure out who Risknis is and what they have to do with this question. :)

Ah. I thought she looked familiar.

Not surprising that they didn't mention her game-show experience. What matters is now, the past is ancient history.

I love this!

But I'm not surprised that her parents ended the game when her winnings climbed to $4 or $5 a day.

Perhaps, but when Jason Block joined me, they were tripping over themselves to talk about him.

Understandable. They don't get to see many $125K winners these days.
