New CBS Schedule Announced
All times Eastern:
Monday
8:00 The Big Bang Theory (until football ends)
8:30 Kevin Can Wait (Kevin James as a retired cop turned househusband with three kids)
9:00 Two Broke Girls
9:30 The Odd Couple
10:00 Scorpion
Tuesday
8:00 NCIS
9:00 Bull (with Michael Weatherly)
10:00 NCIS New Orleans
Wednesday
8:00 Survivor
9:00 Criminal Minds

Thursday (after football)

After football, Big Bang Theory moves to Thursday, and Man with a Plan (Matt LeBlanc as a stay-at-home dad with three kids) comes to Monday. Some people might think that Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan are the same show, but they're not. Kevin James is an ex-cop with three unruly kids. Matt LeBlanc is an ex-contractor with three unruly kids. Big difference. Hopefully, by January, they'll both wind up in the same place, the cancellation heap. Not that anyone cares, but MacGyver is somewhat of a question mark. They are currently doing a MacGyver on their scripts and recasting the supporting characters, so it might get yanked if it's not ready. Limitless has not been officially cancelled, but it's not on the official fall or winter schedule either.
New winter shows not previously discussed:
Doubt: Katherine Heigl as an attorney who comes to believe their big client, a too-good-to-be-true doctor accused of murdering his girlfriend may actually be guilty. In addition to this case, the firm will take on other cases each week. Elliott Gould, Laverne Cox (from Orange is the New Black), and Dule Hill costar.

"Scorpion" is too late for its core audience. Not that I care, I watch everything except the news on my TiVo.

Word is that it's being shopped around to another platform, like Netflix or Hulu. The show has one thing going for it, Bradley Cooper. I'd say the show has good daffy writing, visual geeky stuff far better than that bandied about on Sherlock (where, on my 13-inch TV I mostly found it a nuisance) & its not-Bradley-Cooper actual lead going for it. I love it, but not enough to join Netflix or pay Hulu, a source I used to be able to watch things on for free. I don't own a device with a screen big enough, other than my pre-home-computer-age TV, to make paying worth it. I'm not going to pay to watch at the library where they can bump me off at any time.

Limitless has now officially been cancelled, and it's not going to be picked up on another cable or digital platform.
