Super Bowl LV

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Tue May 24, 2016 5:56 pm

The NFL has awarded the 2021 Super Bowl to Los Angeles. It's our first Super Bowl since the 1993 Super Bowl was held in Pasadena. --Bob

In addition to LA, two more Super Bowl locations were announced so here are the next five:

2017- Houston
2018 - Minneapolis
1919 - Atlanta
2020 - South Florida
2021 - Los Angeles

Houston is obviously the current stadium and Miami's is being extensively renovated including a roof over the seats but the other three are brand-new stadiums.

The 1919 Super Bowl in Atlanta was pretty good, although the TV coverage was a bit hit or miss. The highlight was the halftime show featuring Al Jolson.

Who could forget the Canton Bulldogs' captivating 2-0 victory over the Dayton Triangles? And the outrage when the halftime singer "accidentally" exposed her left elbow?

1919... 2019...ehh, on a geologic time scale I'm within the margin of error.

The way the nfl treated St. Louis all these years, we should boycott every televised game all season long. A big goose egg for ratings would really hurt the local stations.
