Of note here is the fact that Scandal won't premiere until the winter and it will be a shorter season. All of ABC's Thursday shows took a ratings hit when they had a three month winter break, so they're trying to protect their top-rated Thursday show. See my earlier posts for more details on new shows.

He's not going to be able to play Jack Bauer in a situation like that--all the Jack Bauers of the world would be dedicated to keeping him safe. And after such a momentous attack (at a minimum, I imagine this would involve an attack on the Capitol Building during a State of the Union address) I can't see this being a "West Wing"-type show; what was happening in the wider world would be more important than what was happening in Kiefer's secret bunker.

Not true. The first season ran from March to May last year (2015). The Australian version upon which is based aired there in 2014.silverscreenselect wrote:Sunday

Further, Juliette Lewis reprises her role as the detective, but Ryan Philippe is not involved in Season 2. It's a different story.

Re: ABC Unveils Fall Schedule
You're right, I got my dates wrong. I watched the original series and did not read any detailed updates about the second season. The first season involved a season-long murder case in which Ryan Philippe was the prime suspect. The killer's identity was revealed in the last episode, but the finale was open-ended, so I assumed that it would follow up on the same set of characters. Apparently it will follow another similar case in which a man (Michael Ealy) becomes the prime suspect in his wife's death. It's a 10-episode limited series, so presumably the mystery will be solved at the end of the season.Estonut wrote:Not true. The first season ran from March to May last year (2015).
