Still no word on a few series, but CBS is adding seven new shows. I'm not sure why the broadcast networks are in such a hurry to come up with new versions of old movies. Minority Report, Limitless, Rush Hour, and The Odd Couple have all been ratings disappointments, but we've now added Lethal Weapon, The Exorcist, and ....:
Training Day: A young idealistic cop (Justin Cornwell) is paired with an older, morally ambiguous partner (Bill Paxton).
Bull: Michael Weatherly plays a shrink patterned after Dr. Phil who is a trial consultant hired by lawyers in big cases.
Pure Genius: A young high tech genius (Augustus Prew) teams up with a veteran surgeon (Dermot Mulroney) to come up with all kinds of gadgets to help cure hopeless cases.
MacGyver: Yes, that MacGyver in a younger edition (Lucas Till), intended as a prequel to the old series.
Man with a Plan: Matt LeBlanc becomes a house dad when his wife goes back to work.
The Great Indoors: Joel McHale as an adventure writer working for a magazine with a bunch of millennials.
Kevin Can Wait: New Kevin James sitcom.

I still miss Joel McHale on The Soup. His new show sounds like a dud.
