That didn't take long - Road trip!

#1 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Sun May 08, 2016 2:47 pm

Started the new job last Monday. Been great so far.

Only snag - they wanted me to go to Germany like now for training. Seriously, tomorrow (May 9). The snag was that I had just put in for passport renewal, once I heard during the interview process that they wanted me to eventually come over (turned out that my old passport was expiring mid-May anyway). They knew about this already, so that wasn't a surprise to them.

And guess what was in my mailbox when I got home? :D

I fly out tomorrow morning for two weeks of training in Wurzburg. Better yet, the in-between weekend is a three-day holiday weekend.

In my mailbox yesterday was my passport too (I'm not going anywhere, but it would have expired in esrtly July). But they didn't mail the old with! Is this a new thing? This is my 2nd renewal post 9/11/2001, so its not a 9/11 thing.

So I look this up & it says "may/will be sent seperately". Waste of postage!
