My wife HATES that. Today is her birthday (50th). All her life she's shared her birthday with Hitler, and now the druggies are taking her day as well.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Well, at least she is easy to shop for. If you forget her birthday, you can stop by the middle school on the way home from work and pick something up.BackInTex wrote:My wife HATES that. We were in Kansas last weekend for a turkey hunt, getting there by driving through many of those little Colorado towns on the front range that nobody lives in. A couple decades ago, I didn't know what 420 meant. Now, small marijuana establishments are adding 420 to signs that say stuff like "Stop and Go" or "ShopKwik."

I remember hearing that I-70 through Colorado skipped the mile marker for milepost 420, replacing it with milepost 419.99. It seems the "420" sign kept getting stolen.SportsFan68 wrote:We were in Kansas last weekend for a turkey hunt, getting there by driving through many of those little Colorado towns on the front range that nobody lives in. I like this quote from the article:
In sports terms, 420 is the "Roll Tide" of weed.

They did the same thing on one of the U.S. Highways, 160 I think. Heck, maybe they did it on all of them.SpacemanSpiff wrote:I remember hearing that I-70 through Colorado skipped the mile marker for milepost 420, replacing it with milepost 419.99. Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.
