A man who was billed on the website of the firm Xytex as the "perfect donor" and whose sperm fathered at least 36 children in the U.S., U.K., and Canada from 2000 to 2014 has been revealed as a mentally ill felon. According to the website, he was a healthy man with an IQ of 160 who was working on a PhD in neuroscience engineering.
In reality, he was a college dropout who did time in prison for burglary and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar and narcissistic personality disorders (I guess the narcissist in him would be thrilled to know he fathered that many children). He apparently lied on his application and wasn't caught for over a decade.
At least three lawsuits have been filed against the company in Canada, and others are pending.
