Good vibage requested

#1 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Mon Apr 04, 2016 9:45 am

To borrow an old saying, "when one door closes, learn to pick the lock."

Just had a phone interview for an accounting manager for a small division of a larger company; spoke jointly to the HR person in the holding company, and to the company's CFO in Germany. The interview went well, money's right, and the company culture and what they need fits right up my experience and abilities.

Now it's hurry-up-and-wait.

So, I'm asking for some good Bored vibage for this gig.

Thanks, all!

Pump up the vibage, pump up the vibeage

#16 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Wed Apr 06, 2016 6:47 am

Slight change of plans. I now have a phone interview with the CFO and VP of Finance (two different people) late this afternoon. I suppose this is an intermediate step before a potential face-to-face meeting next week.

So,throw more vibage, please. Something's at worrk here (hopefully soon it will be me!)

Thanks, all. Survived that one ok.

Turned out that was less of a feeling-out process than it was that they wanted to make sure I understood the nature of the position -- small office, what was needed (and not needed), how this company fit into the holding company, knowing that I would have to do some non-accounting thing. Guess they've been burned with the Freddie Prinze (sr.) routine.

(But I don't do windows. Well, yes I do Windows. But not the fenestration thingies.)

Good interview, about 26 minutes.

Keep the vibe on coming, and it's on to next week (I hope I hope I hope).

It's working.... keep up the good vibes

#23 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Thu Apr 07, 2016 3:06 pm

Scheduling an in-person interview Wed April 20 (it's taking that long to get everyone here, I guess). Local guy who would be my immediate boss, the incoming VP-Finance (not the one I talked with yesterday), the HR person from Connecticut office of the parent company, and a Skype setup with the CFO in Germany.

The lady at the agency who has set this up has said they are "very interested."

On to the next level! Thanks guys! (But don't let up the vibeage!)
