Matt, Ann, Al & Meredith played cash cab for their favorite charities.
Meredith and Ann vs Matt & AL. The girls won $2,400.
The most anyone has won is $4100. He said a lot of people turn down the chance to play the game. They aren't softball questions that's for sure.

I saw the promo for this and missed the footage of their play.
I just saw the end where they were all outside.
I wanted to see them play.

I happened to catch this in the cafeteria this morning - Al and Matt couldn't answer the following question:
Discovered by the Spanish, what is the name of the island that contains both Haiti and the Dominican Republic?
The guys said "Dominica", which was wrong. The girls evidently didn't get that question (or at least they didn't show it).

They had the same question?
That explains something - it seems the girls were slower so got one less question - they said that in the re-cap.

Jeff, Maddie, Emma and I would love to get in the Cash Cab and ask him to drive us to Boston. It's sort of a family dream.

They were asked the same questions. Evidently they took the same trip so that they had the same total amount of time. The girls used their street shout-out, and the guys didn't, which may account for the difference in time. The guys struck out and the girls got to do the video bonus.

Hooray for the girls!
Smart play.

Sadly, the Cash Cab never leaves Manhattan.
But even for one of those short trips, seeing your family together playing that game would rock!

I know.
When I was a kid, I also wanted to own Madagascar.
It's one of those dreams I know will never happen.

Play RISK - that way if you don't have it at the start of the game you can invade and conquer it, thus fulfilling that dream.

It's not the same. There are no lemurs in Risk.

You've obviously never met the guys I used to play RISK with.

I didn't realize this was still on. But a lot of programs I no longer watch since I got Direct TV and they aren't in the same number grouping where I am usually flipping through the onscreen guide anymore.
I used to watch this whenever I saw it was on because I liked Ben (?) the cabbie. He didn't pussyfoot around with the questions, he had a sexy voice and he was pretty hot.
But apparently not hot enough for me to actually remember what days and times it airs. Ha!

I watched both showings today and they did not show it. Hopefully I will find it OnDemand.

I shall venture to find it and add it to the things I tape each day.
I think Ben should go places.

Did you watch both showings of the Today show, I thought that there was only one showing per day.

Well of course, he's a taxi driver!
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I love cash cab.
I crashed and burned on a designer question. I guessed Versace. I always guess Versace when it's a designer question.
