I figured it must be, or else this would be one dull question. I figured Dark Horse predated the 1910s (for example, I think I've heard James K Polk referred to as a dark horse), and I figured the word upset had a more tenuous connection to the prescribed meaning.

Of course I'd be out by this point because I thought the African elephant had the biggest brain.
