Lyrically Speaking - 2/3/16

#1 Post by President Chump » Wed Feb 03, 2016 7:35 am

My name is Donald Chump, and I approve this message! You know what's holding Lyrically Speaking back? The Merry Men! They illegally pour onto this Bored from every pigsty in the world and take over our posts and our games while decent, upstanding Bored Buddies lose their hosting gigs. Well, when I'm elected President of the Bored, I am going to ensure that everyone with a "Merry Man" designation is shipped off of the Home for the Weary and I'll build a firewall around our website to keep them out! Just look at the artists who appear in today's poor excuse for a game... why, it may as well still be Wacky Wednesday! I don't know who any of them are, but from their como se llamas, they sure look like a bunch of illegals to me! I promise to kick all of them off of our beloved Bored as well! Vote for me, and together we'll make Lyrically Speaking great again!

This is gonna be YUGE!!!!!!!!!!

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist...

1. Save me from this prison
Lord, help me get away
`Cause only you can save me now
From this misery

2. Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl

3. Now in the unemployment lines
You can spend your life readin' signs
Waitin' for your interview
They can shoot the whole day for you

4. Glory, glory hallelu
Glory for Plugs One and Two
But that glory's been denied
By kizids and dookie eyes

5. You got me runnin' and hidin' all over town,
you got me sneakin' and a-peepin' and runnin' you down.
This can't go on

6. If you're blue and you don't know,
Where to go to, why don't you go,
Where fashion sits?

7. Would you dance, if I asked you to dance
Would your run, and never look back
Would you cry, if you saw me crying
Would you save my soul tonight

8. Now come on, what was I suppose to do
He was out of town and his two friends were so fine

9. Time was on my side
When i was running down the street
It was no bind bind bind
A suitcase and an old guitar
It's all i need to occupy
A mind like mine

10. You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible
A center full of miracle, lyrical
You've saved my life again
And I want you to know baby

11. Sometimes we all feel a need to change
Our love we have to rearrange
And move on to something new yes you do
Your dreams feel like they're fallin' apart
You need to find a brand new start
But you're almost afraid to be true to yourself

12. If I had my way
She'd be back today
But she don't intend
To see me again, Ooh-Ooh

To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl

3. Now in the unemployment lines
You can spend your life readin' signs
Waitin' for your interview
They can shoot the whole day for you

4. Glory, glory hallelu
Glory for Plugs One and Two
But that glory's been denied
By kizids and dookie eyes

5. You got me runnin' and hidin' all over town,
you got me sneakin' and a-peepin' and runnin' you down.
This can't go on

"Evil Ways" - Santana

6. If you're blue and you don't know,
Where to go to, why don't you go,
Where fashion sits?

"Puttin' on the Ritz" - Taco

7. Would you dance, if I asked you to dance
Would your run, and never look back
Would you cry, if you saw me crying
Would you save my soul tonight

"Hero" - Enrique Iglesias

8. Now come on, what was I suppose to do
He was out of town and his two friends were so fine

"Macarena" - Los Del Rio

9. Time was on my side
When i was running down the street
It was no bind bind bind
A suitcase and an old guitar
It's all i need to occupy
A mind like mine

10. You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible
A center full of miracle, lyrical
You've saved my life again
And I want you to know baby

11. Sometimes we all feel a need to change
Our love we have to rearrange
And move on to something new yes you do
Your dreams feel like they're fallin' apart
You need to find a brand new start
But you're almost afraid to be true to yourself

12. If I had my way
She'd be back today
But she don't intend
To see me again, Ooh-Ooh

We know only one of these songs. Again, it's because of our mom. She wrote a character a couple of years ago for her annual Gridiron show thingie that was based on one of Evil Squirrel's friends, Skanki. The original Skanki on the Bored was a Russian figure skater. Mom's character was a Russian campaign worker who thought Mr. Vladimir Putin should run for President of the United States. She changed the lyrics a little bit. Okay, a lot. But she sang the song with a top hat and a cane, wearing a black tail coat she found in her size at a Steampunk store. She renamed the song "Putin on the Ritz."
6. If you're blue and you don't know,

Puttin' on the Ritz, Mr. Fred Astaire.

BeBe picked out the picture. I'm sorry it's so big, but we couldn't figure out how to make it smaller. Still, this is screaming!

This puzzle has je ne sais quoi.
1. Save me from this prison

From this misery

2. Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl

3. Now in the unemployment lines

Waitin' for your interview
They can shoot the whole day for you

4. Glory, glory hallelu
Glory for Plugs One and Two
But that glory's been denied
By kizids and dookie eyes

5. You got me runnin' and hidin' all over town,
you got me sneakin' and a-peepin' and runnin' you down.
This can't go on

6. If you're blue and you don't know,
Where to go to, why don't you go,
Where fashion sits?

1. Save me from this prison
Lord, help me get away
`Cause only you can save me now
From this misery
Heaven - Los Lonely Boys (In the interim stage between the CD's and Mecca Radio re-launching last year, this song got played waaaaay too much at work)

2. Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl
Donna - Ritchie Valens (The date was a complete coincidence and didn't occur to me...)

3. Now in the unemployment lines
You can spend your life readin' signs
Waitin' for your interview
They can shoot the whole day for you
It Only Takes A Minute - Tavares

4. Glory, glory hallelu
Glory for Plugs One and Two
But that glory's been denied
By kizids and dookie eyes
Me, Myself and I - De La Soul

5. You got me runnin' and hidin' all over town,
you got me sneakin' and a-peepin' and runnin' you down.

Would your run, and never look back
Would you cry, if you saw me crying
Would you save my soul tonight
Hero - Enrique Iglesias

8. Now come on, what was I suppose to do

Macarena - Los Del Rio

9. Time was on my side
When i was running down the street
It was no bind bind bind
A suitcase and an old guitar
It's all i need to occupy

Love Will Find A Way - Pablo Cruise

12. If I had my way
She'd be back today
But she don't intend
To see me again, Ooh-Ooh
Black Is Black - Los Bravos

Kroxquo Bonus: Name a song by another artist Donald Chump would like to ban from the LSWE. - While the theme was intended to be artists with Latin sounding names, since that was kind of a wishy washy idea, I went ahead and accepted anything Latin/Mexican related for the Krox.

Image Bonus: Let's see something that that just screams south of the border. - These are really getting better now! For this game, there was no way I couldn't go with Stan Ridgway popping his head up through the bowl of beans... so Weasel gets the IBB!

First tanstaafl names his BBBL team after a future spelling word I need, then Jarnon knows more about Imbolc than I do, and then BiT picks the same South of Border image that I did!!! Y'all are getting smarter!
