Jeopardy! on-line test dates

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Thu Dec 17, 2015 10:48 am

Jeopardy! has announced that its next on-line test dates will be January 26, 27, and 28. --Bob

Cities this time around:

Washington DC
New York
Raleigh/Durham
Los Angeles
Detroit
Charleston, SC
Oklahoma City
Minneapolis
Las Vegas
San Diego

So, I'll have to choose between Charleston and Raleigh/Durham.

Hmmm. NYC is closer but I have relatives in the DC area. Might even be able to work it into a visit to the warehouse. Got a month to decide. Whether it matters once the test is over is anyone's guess. Anyone got a year's worth of People I can read?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Profile you have to fill out is new & crap. Hope I can remember what I gave them. Then it seemed to be prompting me fot teen or college or teacher test, & when I kept hitting adult, told me dates & cities weren't ready yet. Since only one date may work for me, & only one city will work, I backed out.

Somebody please tell me if you got it to work correctly for you.

Signed up for DC. Cousins are willing to put me up (and put up with me) when I get picked for the audition.

The practice test is now much more realistic than previous ones. Thirty questions instead of five and very similar in scope and type to the ones in previous regular tests. Managed 25/30 without too much difficulty, though the recent pop culture questions were limited (and I got only a first name for one and a similar but not quite right location for another). I hope the real test works out as well.

I would suggest everyone take that practice test to see what works best for you.

I did the test in Chrome and had to keep clicking in the answer box, but with Firefox I didn't have to do that.

It's the little things that are important, especially to someone like me who can pass, but barely.

I hope I can register at all. Have to try from a real computer. Hope I haven't completely gummed it up by trying from this tablet. Certainly wasn't planning to take actual test on tablet, but should have been able to register from it. I would think.

Worked from real machine. I registered for Wednesday because I have something I do on Tuesdays. Hope I can get into the computer at that time. Its a gamble in various ways.

Took the test with Firefox on my laptop through the wifi in the conservatory with the lead pipe ... Sorry, got carried away with all the elves, AKA subordinate clauses. Anyway, no problems. Good luck to all!

I missed two on the practise test.

Even with preposterous brain freeze I "only" got fourteen wrong. If brain hadn't froze it would have been 10 wrong.

They give you the answers at the end. That's new & welcome.

I'll have to try this for fun this year. Don't think I'm eligible though just yet.
