Marbury v. Madison
I just found that William Luke Marbury (November 7, 1762 - March 13, 1835) , the plaintiff in this case, is my wife's first cousin 8 times removed. So far that's her only link to anyone of note in American History.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
