Non-political Canadian politics question
Keep running across the phrase that Trudeau wants to scrap "First past the post voting." What does this mean and what is the replacement?

Re: Non-political Canadian politics question
"First past the post" means everyone runs against each other, and whoever gets the most votes (even if only a plurality) wins. I have no idea what Trudeau wants to use, but possible replacements are a jungle primary (such as we use in California) or Australian-style instant runoff ballots. --BobSpock wrote:Keep running across the phrase that Trudeau wants to scrap "First past the post voting."
